Instagram is trying out something cool – a sticker creation feature that lets you design your very own stickers with your photos, and sometimes even pics from other Instagram users. The best part? You can slap these stickers onto your Reels or Stories.

While Meta's been busy with AI-generated stickers, this new tool is a bit more straightforward. It basically figures out the main part of a photo and gets rid of the background, creating a stand-alone sticker that you can plop on top of other stuff.

Adam Mosseri, the guy in charge, showed how it works in a video he shared. He also mentioned that you can make stickers from your device's photos and "eligible images you see on Instagram." This hints that you might be able to turn your own pics into stickers.

Now, it's not clear if you can save these stickers on your device, but if you can, you might be able to use them to make custom stickers for WhatsApp or Telegram.

But hold on, this feature is still in testing, so not everyone gets to play with it yet. There's no set date for when it'll be out for everyone.

By the way, Instagram's also testing something new – a polling feature for the comments section below feed posts. It sounds like it'll work a lot like the polls in WhatsApp group chats.
